Talks about sustainable fuels have been around for some years now, particularly when issues of energy security, global warming and climate change are considered. It is well understood by now, that the world can no longer continue to depend heavily on fossil fuel because not only that it is depleting, the sustained high fuel price has continually caused inflation and increased costs of living.

The use of alternative fuel such as hydrogen and fuel cell are not only realistic, but also advantageous. As a fuel, hydrogen has no local emissions other than water, and hydrogen can be used for both stationary and mobile applications.

AT IHE, we dream of the future and we are committed to contribute towards making the hydrogen economy a reality. Our activities include:

·         Executing research and development in the area of hydrogen energy

·         Development of pilot scales demonstration projects.

·         Assessment of hydrogen related technologies and development of standards

·         Establishing policies and economics analysis.

·         Education, knowledge generation and dissemination in the area of hydrogen energy.

·         Training and consultancy to relevant industries.
